Galveston Firefighter Children's Parade
We will begin at 25th Street and Santa Fe Place heading South to Postoffice Street, proceed East down Postoffice, turn North on 19th Street, turn West on Strand Street, and conclude at 25th and Strand.

                                                                                          Ways to participate:

  • Decorated Floats

  • Decorated Jeeps

  • Decorated Golf Carts

  • Walking

  • Walking Groups of 20 or more

    • Walking groups of 20 or more include one (1) decorated support vehicle.
      Additional support vehicles: $25 each

Float Rental

​

1. Box Float Rental (first come, first serve)

  • Float rental includes parade entry, two (2) bags of beads, and ten (10) Firefighters Children's Parade Medallions

  • Limit ten (10) children per float.

2. Pirate Ship Float Rental (first come, first serve)

  • Float rental includes parade entry, six (6) bags of beads, and fifteen (15) Firefighters Children's Parade Medallions

  • Limit fifteen (15) children per float

​

3. NEW! Handicap accessible Float Rental (first come, first serve)

  • Float rental includes parade entry, six (6) bags of beads, and ten (10) Firefighters Children's Parade Medallions

  • Limit ten (10) children per float.

​

4. Rent Individual Spaces

  • Individual spaces are available for rent; per child. The fee includes one bag of beads, one space to ride on one of our floats and one Firefighters Children's Parade Medallion.

 

Parents are encouraged to buy additional beads.

​

 

Purchase Beads

Bags of Mardi Gras beads are available to purchase for an additional fee.
Purchase early, we may not be able to keep enough beads on-hand.

 

Children's Parade Contest

​

First place trophies will be presented for:

  • Best Decorated Float to Theme

  • Most Original Float

  • Best Costumed Group to Theme

 

Medals will be awarded for:

  • Best Costumed Boy

  • Best Costumed Girl
